How To Find Great DJ Deals On Ebay

Is it time to replace that old mixer that’s starting to bleed or maybe that pair of headphones you accidentally threw against the wall?

One word: eBay.

It may be used equipment but who can beat getting a new pair of decks for 1/2 the price?

Find Misspelled Listings

No Toilet Storege

So someone puts a really nice piece of DJ equipment up on eBay but oh shii, they misspelled the name!

What does this mean to you? Advantage.

Because of misspellings, and if the auctioneer doesn’t catch their mistake, listings will sometimes go for a fraction of the price because no one is able to find it.

This is your perfect time to jump in and put in a bid. If you’re lucky, the auction will end with, hopefully, no other bids and you get to walk away with a steal.

Spelling search is a great site to find Ebay misspellings. Just type in words such as ‘Techincs 1200′ or ‘Numarkk’, you’ll be amazed at how sloppy people can be:

Snipe Those Auctions!

World´s premier snipers converge on Fort Benning

Here’s a cool trick that will surely piss someone off but will land you a killer deal.

Websites like AuctionSniper allows you to place a set amount to bid at the last second – the art of Ebay sniping.

Sniping basically entails using a bot to bid just a tiny bit higher at the last possible second, winning you the auction.

For those chumps that are trying to refresh their screen as it’s counting down those last valuable seconds, they’re no match for Ebay sniping.

Sometimes you can win the auction by a single penny, take that!

Don’t Get Screwed By Shipping and Handling

Suave.

Here’s a shady little trick that Ebayers like to use: list an item at a really cheap discount or buy it now, only to charge out the ass for shipping and handling.

Unfortunately, you’re technically stuck with purchasing the item – unless you’re bad and just never respond to the seller.

Before you jump all over an item you are dying to buy, double check the shipping and handling, make sure they aren’t over charging.

Take Advantaged Of Combined Orders

You may have found a great pair of decks from someone with an Ebay store, nice job!

But don’t stop there.

Check out the seller’s Ebay store to see if they are selling any other item you need.

Usually sellers will allow you to combine orders to save a bunch on shipping. That’s extra money in your pocket.

Read Everything!

Okay, last tip.

Read.Everything.

Sometimes Ebayers can be a little sneaky, they’ll place a great picture and an enticing headline but deep down in the description it’ll say something that’s wrong with the DJ Equipment.

You don’t want to buy a pair of turntables just to find out you have to replace the motor do you?

Also, double check the return policy in the even that something does go screwey. Make sure you have your order in paper so you don’t have to be hassled.

Before you buy anything, double check to make sure you’re getting what you’re paying for.
