My Top 10 Favorite Psybient Artists and Songs

I wanted to share with you my top 10 Psybient artists and songs instead of declaring it in stone as “the best”.

Some call it Psybient. Some say Psydub. Maybe Psychill? Or perhaps Downtempo. Whatever you choose to call it, this is my list of the top 10 Psybient artists and songs.

These are some of the artists and their songs that have rocked my world. Psybient fits so well when we are in a relaxed mood, it feels as if everything is going to be all right.

My Top 10 Dark Psytrance Tracks

Dark Psytrance is brutal, combining the psychedelic sounds of Psytrance along with aggressive basslines and samples.

Dark Psytrance is a bit of a harsher taste but once you find a few artists you love, you won’t be going back.

If there’s one thing that I can’t get enough of are the comments on Dubstep tunes on YouTube. These comments generally try to 1 up each other in terms of filth, it’s utterly hilarious.

No surprise that there has been quite a few funny “How to dance to dubstep” videos popping up. Sure we could watch people that could actually dance but who cares, right? That’s why you wanna take the most ironic video and add in a filthy tune – pure comedy gold.

I know what you’re thinking: “Who the hell is Bruce Haack?“.

Many consider Bruce Haack as one of the pioneers of Electronic Music. Haack’s experimentation with synthesisers gave us a unique sound unheard of at its time. Haack invented his own synthesisers, produced many albums and was a genius.

Hey everyone, it’s been a few days but don’t think I haven’t been busier than ever.

Just to fill you in the loop, the last party I went to I think I got a bit of kidney damage, it happens, was fun, would do it again.

As you can probably see there have been some tweaks to BDJ mainly the addition of the Facebook fan widget.

I’ve been in debate wither or not to get rid of RSS completely because of a few things:

RSS doesn’t allow you to have discussions as FB would
A ton of people have FB, not as many use RSS

I use Facebook in a similar fashion:

updating about new posts
sharing music
telling people about recent events and upcoming parties
we can talk and share tips and tricks
it’s really great!

So anyway, don’t want to drag this on and bore you…

I have no shortage of crazy friends that are obsessive about electronic music but the one that takes the cake is my good bruv Dez.

Dez is one of those guys that just eats, sleeps and breathes for the music. I get messages at 4am linking me to a YouTube vid, some buried web page and DJ sets from the darkest parts of the internet …

We got the new year/decade coming up so lets use this time to reflect on the last 10. DJing has come a long ways in the last decade so who knows where it will be in 10 more.
