The Best Of Mixcloud 2009 – A Massive Year Of Streaming Music

2009, if you don’t know, has come to a close (shocker!) and with it comes many things:
- The new decade!
- New Years resolutions (which you’ll abandon – it’s okay)
- Writing your dates like 1/19/10 (feels weird doesn’t it?)
More importantly, Mixcloud has put together their Best Of for 2009. Although they kind of cheated (only launching in later 2009) Mixcloud has put together a really great compilation of the biggest mixes, listeners and uploaders for 2009.
If you don’t know Mixcloud is a relatively new podcasting website where users can upload mixes, share through social networking and rate the mixes in a Digg like setup.
I’m sure you’re going to get into debate about Mixcloud vs. Soundcloud, that’s a given, but using your noggin’ correctly a good DJ will use both services to upload and promote their mixes.
Anyway, back to the topic at point.
The Mixcloud best of 2009 list consists of:

- The 50 Best Cloudcasters
- The 10 Most Active Cloudcasters
Using a combination of voting, plays, favorites and community suggestions, Mixcloud has put together a rather impressive list of some very fun listens. The 50 best cloudcasts will easily hold you over for a weeks worth of listening. These cloudcasts are a mix of every type of genre, I’m sure you’ll find a mixes you’ll love.
The #1 cloudcast is worth taking a listen just for the nostalgia: Electronica 2000 – 2009. 10 years of what went on during the 2000’s from the rise of dubstep, grime, new styles of electro, massive hits, DJ revivals and all kinds of goodies.
